Ok Jaanu (2017) is an official remake of the Tamil film 'O Kadhal Kanmani' (2015). While everybody is keen to watch Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor‘s nice chemistry in OK Jaanu, the makers fascinate us with yet another dialogue promo. If you guys remember, Shraddha had brought off a cruel spoof on Adi in the first promo. So does Adi get his vengeance? No, in fact, she scares him in this one. In the second dialogue promo, Aditya is left SHIT scared after Shraddha gives him a clue that she might be pregnant! Scary no? Any guy whose girlfriend tells him that she is pregnant will relate to the same portion for sure…

But the promo also shows the idiosyncrasy and playful side of the Jodi. The pair is seen visiting a hospital and going towards the gynecology department. OK Jaanu Music Review: A.R. Rahman's music is great

We have heard almost all the songs of upcoming Bollywood Romantic-Comedy OK Jaanu. The music didn't fail to impress music lovers, and we can identify the iconic flavor of 2 times OSCAR winner musician A.R. Rehman. There are flavors of comedy and fun in the songs initially released. Few have judged the music as lousy because of the remix song Humma. Most of the 90s kids criticized it on social media.

OK Jaanu Songs

Four songs movie are the real gem, Videos of which have not released yet. The film is being marketed according to trends because of the romantic story, That is probably why the makers have released what has been trending these days: a fast-paced number like the OK Jaanu title track, a peppy remix of a classic in The Humma Song and a romantic number by Arijit Singh in Enna Sona.

OK Jaanu Title Track

Lyrics by Gulzar and sung by A.R. Rehman it is a good song. 

Humma Song

It is one of the best remix in recent time but still was criticized by 90s kids for the new flavor. This song was sung in a romantic was and the video is very sensuous and pleasing for eyes. Badshah's rap is the off for the song.

Enna Shona

This is an Arijit Singh song. Not the great one but good to hear.

Jee Lein is the best song of the album. Neeti Mohan, Arjun Chandy and Rahman himself gave their voices to the song. The male voices in this song have been toned down as the pitch is much softer in order to lend it a resonant touch. This modulation is in sync with the soft EDM genre. In case the visuals are equally powerful, it can serve as a soothing yet energetic number on the lines of 'Phir Se Udd Chala' from Rockstar or 'Safarnama' from Tamasha.

'Kaara Fankaara' is another song adorned with western beats and musical instruments. It borders on a lyrical hip-hop, a rare occurrence in Hindi cinema barring dance dramas like Remo D'Souza's ABCD franchise. Rahman has roped in the unbelievably gifted Hard Kaur and Dinesh Kanagaratnam for the rap portions of the song. These portions fit in organically given the entire song qualifies as a hip-hop and is a welcome U-turn to the conventional, rather than blindly attempting to fuse rap sequences into every second dance number.

The other two songs land on the other side of the spectrum as they are semi-classical. Just like Kanagaratnam, Rahman borrows Jonita Gandhi and Shashaa Tirupati from the south who have also lent their voices to Ok Kanmani, the Tamil film which has been remade as Ok Jaanu.

Tirupati sounds like a younger version of the veteran Rekha Bharadwaj in Sunn Bhavara which is arguably the best song of the album. It not only has been serenaded beautifully but is musically and lyrically sound. The age-old collaboration of Rahman and lyricist Gulzar come into play in this number which is a familiar area for both the veterans.

Similarly, Gandhi enchants the listeners with her effortless yet soulful aalaps in 'Saajan Aayo Re'. It's what the maestro Rahman is known for - a soul-stirring rendition that settles gradually within you, and stays there long after the song is over.

However, these four songs are the ones you listen to on a loop when you are in a laid-back mood. They are not high on lyrics but create magic with their vocals and music. Going by the theme of the film, the first three songs which are more fast-paced and formulaic have been pushed more into the market.

If you don't like them, do not worry. There is much more to come which is certainly the best that Rahman has to offer in this film.

Karan Johar revealed the first look of OK Jaanu today on his Twitter account, which shows Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in a cosy moment in a sepia-tinted photo.

Those who were curiously waiting for the first look of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor's 'OK Jaanu' can heave a sigh of relief as the makers have released the first look of the film in the poster.

The first look poster has Shraddha kissing Aditya Roy Kapur while the tagline reads, "Figure out kar lenge". The chemistry between Shraddha and Aditya, which was witnessed in the romance drama 'Aashiqui 2', is palpable here too. Taking to her Twitter account, the actress shared the image with the caption, "And we are BACK!!! #13thJan #OKJaanu."

'OK Jaanu' is the official remake of the Tamil blockbuster 'OK Kanmani' that was helmed by Mani Ratnam and included Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. The Hindi remake has been directed by Ratnam's protege Shaad Ali and portrays the story of a young couple in a live-in relationship.

Thing to be noted here is, Shaad Ali, before, has directed the Hindi remake of Mani Ratnam’s Alaipayuthey titled Saathiya and that film worked stands amazed at the box office. Now we simply need to sit tight for January 13, 2017 to see if the film creates the magic of its original film and will audience slurp up the pairing of Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, just like they did in Aashiqui 2.
